Due to our exponential growth, we are seeking a motivated Integrations Engineer to join our Professional services organization.

The Integrations Engineer is responsible for extending functionality both through integrations with key partners and by developing infrastructure to support web application interconnectivity more generally. You will work closely to define and implement solutions that seamlessly integrate Rally’s product with other third party testing, configuration management, and project and program management software.

This role requires an intimate, working understanding of modern web applications from database to browser and familiarity with inter-web-app communication methods. Supplying professional services requires an ability to understand technical and business requirements rapidly and make decisions under pressure. In addition, this position calls for excellent communication in both a technical and non-technical context, a track record of working to deadlines in a rapid development cycle and prioritizing competing demands while delighting the customer.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
• 5 years software development experience.
• Experience installing, configuring, integrating, maintaining and supporting vendor software packages such as HP QualityCenter, Microsoft TFS, etc.
• Ability to write and test code with web services, programming and scripting languages (SOAP, REST, Java, Ruby, .Net, Perl, etc.).
• Background in software lifecycle management – Product, project, development, test and defect management.
• Excellent communication skills to understand the customer’s issues and provide a solution.
• Experience with Agile methods such as Scrum, XP, Lean, FDD, DSDM, or Crystal.
• Experience delivering consulting engagements -Managing scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder expectations.
• Solutions selling experience - Identifying new areas of opportunity and proposing potential solutions.
• Training experience - we develop our own collateral in close partnership with leading experts in the agile community and deliver training to customer teams.
• Facilitation skills in leading demos, planning meetings, and reviews.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel 50% - We're a company that is expanding within the US and beyond.
• Certified ScrumMaster (Practitioner or Trainer), Certified Facilitator, or equivalent are all pluses.
• B.S. in computer engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities:
• Works as part of a high performance team to promptly identify, analyze and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and issues.
• Responds to customer requests regarding the Rally product and Agile methodologies.
• Helps to install and troubleshoot integrations between Rally and 3rd-party applications.
• Coordinates internal resources to ensure customer success.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
• Possess superior problem solving skills with a proven ability to exercise sound judgment to solve complex issues, recognize business critical situations and escalate as needed.
• Experience supporting or using development tools such as: integrated development environments (IDE), source code management systems (SCM), defect tracking, test management, and requirements management tools a big plus
• 2+ years previous customer software support required, supporting either Web or installed applications.
• Java, Javascript, Ruby and/or .NET skills desired, understanding of Web Services with SOAP and/or REST.
• Excellent presentation, demonstration and facilitation skills in leading meetings, trials and projects.
• Experience with VMware a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
• History of outstanding customer service and customer advocacy.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field a plus.
• The ability to help us beat the devs at Foosball a big plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Write and edit deliverables including but not limited to:
o Online Help
o Content Sensitive Help

o Installation Guides
o Administration Guides
o Release Notes
• Develop and/or capture layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, illustrations, charts, etc. to enhance and/or clarify deliverable contents.
• Develop and record videos to support training and application usage.
• Work as an integral part of Agile development teams on a daily basis to ensure documentation deliverables are met.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in software technical writing.
• Excellent writing, communication, and content presentation skills.
• Clear concise writing style with excellent grammar, punctuation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-deliverable, time-sensitive environment with demonstrated ability to complete writing projects on time.
• Must track own progress to complete documentation for software releases.
• Experience with standard Technical Publication and multimedia tools of choice including but not limited to: RoboHelp, Dreamweaver, MSWord, Google Docs, Adobe Captivate, SnagIT.
• Knowledge of HTML, XML and multimedia technologies to create online help.
• Experience in an Agile or XP environment a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Publications, English, Communications, or a similarly related technical field required. Master’s degree a plus.
